Such meetings has already become a good tradition. First of all, let's point out what exactly such meetings are about. TechTalks are aimed at the sharing of experience and providing practical advice. Usually topics are related to the technological field, the features of some tools as well as work processes. In fact, Solvd employees have the opportunity to exchange opinions, to get a timely feedback and to learn something new.
This time, on November 14th, Dasha Yakubovich, our test automation engineer, presented the topic "Performance Testing with Gatling."As it's already clear from the title Dasha told us about the specifics of testing with Gatling. This framework is mainly designed for load testing. It collects metrics and determines the performance and response time of the software and the hardware, which helps to evaluate how the application works during certain periods of time and with varying degrees of load. In general, it is based on modeling various possible conditions, for example, simulating access by several users with multiple sets of behaviors. After that, the tester receives a full, easy to analyze report, useful for making various improvements to the app further. Dasha showed several cases from her own practical experience. So, Gatling is a fairly convenient and easy to use tool for load testing.
We will carry on with TechTalks, continue to accumulate the knowledge and keep you updated as well.
